Your confidence can take a hit during fieldwork, especially if you have experienced incivility. Clients aren’t the only ones who need to engage in self-care. Many times students who are struggling try to work extra hard to be successful, but everybody needs to take some time away. Think about what you find relaxing and helps you feel your best. Doing things like taking a walk, going to the gym, or grabbing dinner with a friend can really make a difference. Maybe writing your thoughts in a journal or taking short movement breaks during the day helps you cope with challenges.
